Bakit kaya?

bakit kaya?

What would you do?...

What would you do?...

AFTER THE PRAYER, THE CIRCUIT OVERSEER SLOWLY STOOD UP, WALKED UP TO THE PLATFORM AND, BEFORE HE GAVE HIS PUBLIC TALK, HE BRIEFLY INTRODUCED A GUEST SPEAKER.

IN THE INTRODUCTION, THE BROTHER TOLD THE CONGREGATION THAT THE GUEST SPEAKER WAS ONE OF HIS DEAREST CHILDHOOD FRIENDS FROM A FAR AWAY PLACE AND THAT HE WANTED HIM TO HAVE A FEW MOMENTS TO GREET THE CONGREGATION AND SHARE WHATEVER HE FELT WOULD BE APPROPRIATE. WITH THAT, AN ELDERLY MAN STEPPED UP TO THE PLATFORM AND BEGAN TO SPEAK.

"A FATHER, HIS SON, AND A FRIEND OF HIS SON WERE SAILING OFF THE PACIFIC COAST." HE BEGAN.

"WHEN A FAST APPROACHING STORM BLOCKED ANY ATTEMPT TO GET BACK TO THE SHORE. THE WAVES WERE SO HIGH, THAT EVEN, THOUGH THE FATHER WAS AN EXPERIENCED SAILOR, HE COULD NOT KEEP THE BOAT UPRIGHT AND THE THREE WERE SWEPT INTO THE OCEAN AS THE BOAT CAP SIZED."

THE OLD MAN HESITATED FOR A MOMENT, MAKING EYE CONTACT WITH TWO TEENAGERS WHO WERE, FOR THE FIRST TIME SINCE THE TALK BEGAN, LOOKING SOMEWHAT INTERESTED IN HIS STORY.

THE AGED GENTLEMAN CONTINUED WITH HIS STORY,

"GRABBING A RESCUE LINE, THE FATHER HAD TO MAKE THE MOST EXCRUCIATING DECISION OF HIS LIFE: TO WHICH BOY WOULD HE THROW THE OTHER END OF THE LIFE LINE.

HE ONLY HAD SECONDS TO MAKE THE DECISION. THE FATHER KNEW THAT HIS SON WAS A CHRISTIAN AND HE LOVED JEHOVAH. HE ALSO KNEW THAT HIS SON'S FRIEND WAS NOT AND HAD NOT LEARNED TO LOVE JEHOVAH.

THE AGONY OF HIS DECISION COULD NOT BE MATCHED BY THE TORRENT OF WAVES. AS THE FATHER YELLED OUT, 'I LOVE YOU,: HE THREW OUT THE LIFE LINE TO HIS SON'S FRIEND.

BY THE TIME THE FATHER HAD PULLED THE FRIEND BACK TO THE CAPSIZED BOAT, HIS SON HAD DISAPPEARED BENEATH THE RAGING SWELLS INTO THE BLACK OF NIGHT. HIS BODY WAS NEVER RECOVERED.!

BY THIS TIME, THE TWO TEENAGERS WERE SITTING UP STRAIGHT, ANXIOUSLY WAITING FOR THE NEXT WORDS TO COME OUT OF THE AGED GENTLEMAN'S MOUTH.

"THE FATHER," HE CONTINUED, "KNEW HIS SON WOULD BE REMEMBERED BY JEHOVAH AND HE COULD NOT BEAR THE THOUGHT OF HIS SON'S FRIEND NOT LETTING JEHOVAH GET TO KNOW HIM BETTER AND HIM GETTING TO KNOW JEHOVAH AND THE PROMISES HE HAS IN STORE.

THEREFORE, HE SACRIFICED HIS SON TO SAVE THE SON'S FRIEND. HOW GREAT IS THE LOVE OF GOD THAT HE DID THE SAME FOR US. OUR HEAVENLY FATHER SACRIFICED HIS ONLY BEGOTTEN SON SO THAT WE COULD BE SAVED. I URGE YOU TO ACCEPT HIS OFFER TO RESCUE YOU AND TAKE A HOLD OF THE LIFE LINE HE IS THROWING OUT TO YOU "

WITH THAT, THE OLD GENTLEMAN TURNED AND SAT BACK DOWN IN HIS CHAIR AS SILENCE FILLED THE ROOM.

THE ELDER AGAIN WALKED SLOWLY TO THE PLATFORM AND DELIVERED A BRIEF TALK WITH AN INVITATION AT THE END TO START A BIBLE STUDY WITH SOMEONE HERE AT THE KINGDOM HALL. HOWEVER, NO ONE RESPONDED TO THE APPEAL. WITH IN MINUTES AFTER THE MEETING ENDED, THE TWO TEENAGERS WERE AT THE OLD MAN'S SIDE.

"THAT WAS A NICE STORY," POLITELY BUT SARCASTICALLY STATED ONE OF THEM, "BUT I DON'T THINK IT WAS VERY REALISTIC FOR A FATHER TO GIVE UP HIS ONLY SON'S LIFE IN HOPES THAT THE OTHER BOY WOULD BECOME A CHRISTIAN AND LOVE GOD."

"WELL, YOU'VE GOT A POINT THERE," THE OLD MAN REPLIED GLANCING DOWN AT HIS WORN BIBLE. A BIG SMILE BROADENED HIS NARROW FACE. HE ONCE AGAIN LOOKED UP AT THE BOYS AND SAID, "IT SURE ISN'T VERY REALISTIC, IS IT? BUT I'M STANDING HERE TODAY TO TELL YOU THAT STORY GIVES ME A GLIMPSE OF WHAT IT MUST HAVE BEEN LIKE FOR JEHOVAH GOD TO GIVE UP HIS SON FOR ME.

YOU SEE...

"I WAS THAT FATHER AND YOUR CIRCUIT OVERSEER IS MY SON'S FRIEND."

may pasok o wala?

may pasok o wala? may pasok o wala? may pasok o wala?

"its a need" not a want.. education is one of the basic needs of a human under the 2nd level of hierachy of Maslow - the safety .. you can feed your mind throught this..

how to control your bad temper

There once was a little boy who had a bad temper. His Father gave him a bag of nails and told him that every time he lost his temper, he must hammer a nail into the back of the fence. The first day the boy had driven 37 nails into the fence. Over the next few weeks, as he learned to control his anger, the number of nails hammered daily gradually dwindled down. He discovered it was easier to hold his temper than to drive those nails into the fence. Finally the day came when the boy didn't lose his temper at all. He told his father about it and the father suggested that the boy now pull out one nail for each day that he was able to hold his temper. The days passed and the young boy was finally able to tell his father that all the nails were gone. The father took his son by the hand and led him to the fence. He said, "You have done well, my son, but look at the holes in the fence. The fence will never be the same. WHEN YOU SAY THINGS IN ANGER, THEY LEAVE A SCAR JUST LIKE THIS ONE.

You can put a knife in a man and draw it out. It won't matter how many times you say I'm sorry,
THE WOUND IS STILL THERE. "
A verbal wound is as bad as a physical one.

write your hurts in the sand..

A story tells that two friends were walking through the desert. During some point of the journey they had an argument, and one friend slapped the other one in the face.

The one who got slapped was hurt, but without saying anything, wrote in the sand:

TODAY MY BEST FRIEND SLAPPED ME IN THE FACE.

They kept on walking until they found an oasis, where they decided to take a bath. The one who had been slapped got stuck in the mire and started drowning, but the friend saved him.

After he recovered from the near drowning, he wrote on a stone:

TODAY MY BEST FRIEND SAVED MY LIFE.

The friend who had slapped and saved his best friend asked him,
"After I hurt you, you wrote in the sand and now, you write on a stone, why?" The other friend replied "When someone hurts us we should write it down in sand where winds of forgiveness can erase it away. But, when someone does something good for us, we must engrave it in stone where no wind can ever erase it."

LEARN TO WRITE YOUR HURTS IN THE SAND AND TO CARVE YOUR BENEFITS IN STONE.

They say it takes a minute to find a special person, an hour to appreciate them, a day to love them, but then an entire life to forget them.

the theocratic dog - Digger

Thought you would get a kick out of this.

Greetings!

If you have ever been to the Vancouver Island Parksville Kingdom Hall, you have probably met Digger!

-Cute story !

This is a true Story!

My husband and I attend the Oceanview Congregation in Parksville, BC.

At the end of each Sunday morning and Tuesday evening meeting, at the Kingdom Hall Entrance, there sits an elderly Golden Lab, named "Digger". Some brothers and sisters give him a pat or a scratch behind the ears, and some routinely bring him "doggie treats"!

I was told by one brother that "Digger" has been coming to the Kingdom Hall, since it was built about 13 years ago! I affectionately call him our "theocratic dog".

Tonight, after the meeting, we were told by one sister, that she followed Digger home one day to find out where he lived, and she met with his owners! The owners said to her "Yes -- we haven't celebrated Christmas with Digger for quite some time, since he's become one of Jehovah's Witnesses!"

I thought this was priceless and had to pass it on!!!

Love, Janice.

Data Flow Diagram

Definition

A two-dimensional diagram that explains how data is processed and transferred in a system. The graphical depiction identifies each source of data and how it interacts with other data sources to reach a common output. Individuals seeking to draft a data flow diagram must (1) identify external inputs and outputs, (2) determine how the inputs and outputs relate to each other, and (3) explain with graphics how these connections relate and what they result in. This type of diagram helps business development and design teams visualize how data is processed and identify or improve certain aspects. Larry Constantine is credited with designing the basic design of the data flow diagram. (www. businessdictionary.com)

A data-flow diagram (DFD) is a graphical representation of the "flow" of data through an information system. DFDs can also be used for the visualization of data processing (structured design).
On a DFD, data items flow from an external data source or an internal data store to an internal data store or an external data sink, via an internal process.
A DFD provides no information about the timing of processes, or about whether processes will operate in sequence or in parallel. It is therefore quite different from a flowchart, which shows the flow of control through an algorithm, allowing a reader to determine what operations will be performed, in what order, and under what circumstances, but not what kinds of data will be input to and output from the system, nor where the data will come from and go to, nor where the data will be stored (all of which are shown on a DFD). (www.wikipedia.org)

A data flow diagram (DFD) is a significant modeling technique for analyzing and constructing information processes. DFD literally means an illustration that explains the course or movement of information in a process. DFD illustrates this flow of information in a process based on the inputs and outputs. A DFD can be referred to as a Process Model.

Additionally, a DFD can be utilized to visualize data processing or a structured design. A DFD illustrates technical or business processes with the help of the external data stored, the data flowing from a process to another, and the results.

A designer usually draws a context-level DFD showing the relationship between the entities inside and outside of a system as one single step. This basic DFD can be then disintegrated to a lower level diagram demonstrating smaller steps exhibiting details of the system that is being modelled. Numerous levels may be required to explain a complicated system.(www.edrawsoft.com)

Data Flow Diagram Notation

(www.wikipedia.com) (www.smithsrisca.demon.co.uk) (www.conceptdraw.com)
Externals: These are where the flow of information begins and ends. There are two types of external, namely information sources (where the information comes from), and information destinations (where it goes to once it has been processed). The output information will usually be different in some key respect to the input information, otherwise there would be no value in carrying out the process. There is no theoretical limit to how many externals are allowed, but in practice there will usually be one or two sources, and one or two destinations.

Processes: These are where things happen to the information in transit through a system. This might involve storing it as it stands or amending it in some way. It might also involve making decisions on the basis of that information. One of the most useful "rules" of DFDs is that processes must always be nameable, because the act of being able to name them gives you a valuable clue as to whether you really understand what they are doing.

Stores: These are where information is stored until needed. They are the filing cabinets in the system's internal filing system, so to speak. As with biological memory, they can be for either short or long term storage of information. They can also be for the exclusive use of a single process, or else the common use of a number of processes. Under this latter heading, it is common to find one process writing to a store, and then a subsequent process reading from it.

Information Flows: These are the routes taken by the information en route from its source to its destination. Specifically, there will be flowlines between information sources and the initial processes, between process and process, and between process and store. Should information need to flow both ways in a particular instance, then it may be shown either as a double-headed single flow or (preferably) as two opposed single-headed flows. Some practitioners also scale the width of the flow lines to indicate the relative intensity of traffic along them. (www.smithsrisca.demon.co.uk)

Data flow diagrams consist of following components:

Processes and functions which represent actions happened in information system;
External entities which represent in the system data ingoing and outgoing from it;
Data depositories which represent places in system where data can be saved for definite period of time;
Data flows, indicating direction and character of data flowing in the considered information system. www.conceptdraw.com

Jehovah's Warm Appeal: Be Wise, My Son

Song Number 89

Jehovah's Warm Appeal: Be Wise, My Son
Prov 27:11

Young man and young woman do give your heart to me.
My foe who now taunts me, will then be made to see.
Your youth and devotion to me you freely give.
You show all the world that for me you really live.

Chorus:
Beloved son and precious daughter
Be wise and make my heart rejoice,
That out of your own heart you serve me
And furnish praise by your own choice.

Rejoice and take pleasure in giving me your all,
And though you may stumble, I’ll raise you if you fall.
No matter who fails you or proves to be untrue,
Take comfort in knowing I’ll always cherish you.

Think About This...

Both the body and the mind require proper feeding to prevent physical and mental malnutrition. The body is nourished with the physical food that enters our being through our mouth, while the mind fed with the mental food - consisting if information or knowledge - that enters our being through our eyes and ears. if we choose and plan the quality of the physical food that we eat, then we should also carefully choose and plan the quality of the mental food that enters our mind.

Just like the physical food, the mental food could be grouped into two. The first group of mental food, shall be call them soft/liquid diet, include those materials that are easy to absorb and understand - they are simplified, easy to handle, and does not require too much mental effort to process. The study materials falling under the soft/liquid diet group are generally brief and are presented in outline form. Yes, the study materials included in the first group are equally useful since they would also fill the mind. since the processing of soft/liquid diet does not require deep analyses and concentration, thereafter the student misses the opportunity for the full utilization and development of his mind.

On the other hand, the study materials included in the second group, called solid diet, are more detailed, comprehensive and sophisticated. The study material included in the second group require deeper analyses and concentration to process, savor and absorb.

By the time you, the student, reach the tertiary level, you should be fully prepared to process solid diet. The shift from soft/liquid diet to solid diet should have occurred while you were in high school. If by this time you are not yet ready to enjoy your solid diet, do something about it before it is too late. The transition from soft/liquid diet to solid diet would require time, effort, patience and determination. initially, you will encounter some difficulties since you may have to read some sentences and paragraphs very slowly, several tomes, to fully understand and appreciate the materials on hand. With patience and constant practice, you will soon be better equipped, and comfortable in processing and coordinating voluminous and difficult information. Then your mind will be trained to work harder, you will learn to learn with the minimum help from your teacher. Do not work given up. The Bible says :
"We have to pass through fire to become purer and stronger."

a way with you...

standing in a corner..

watchin' people's borner..

thinking that about something..

feeling that I'm a truly a loner..

a saw you from distance..

you looks like obeisance..

never doubt that you are..

I prove it because of the instance..

you and your friend got bet..

little that i know that you've vet..

but surely, I'm glad..

because we totally have met..

I found out that you love music..

realizing that you are enthusiastic..

passionately to the melody that you sing..

you are one of a kind cause you play classic..

your song and your harmony..

able to call up my body..

that heals my hidden gore..

which makes me feel LOVE-ly.

thanks for everything..

thanks for the play..

as well as (for) the call..

and especially to the care..

thanks..!

incomplete

it just started with a mistake..

a mistake that shouldn’t happened..

we met in somewhere..

knowing at no where..

I like the way you talk..

the way you laugh..

the way you smile..

by the fact is we didn’t know each other

I guess I will stop my mind’s eye

for sure it wasn’t work out

it is because I don’t know why

then one night I text someone..

about you..

your identity, your ability, and your story..

how it became this.. and that..

then my friend sends me a number..

a number of yours..

I’m so excited to text you..

lil’bit to nervous, you see..

but I wanted to know your more..

so i text..

you reply..

I was so pleased..

he wasn’t that snob that I thought..

he was a good man..with a good heart..

after a week..

everything change..

I know change is constant to our world

but what happen..

a city with no people..

A person’s heart changes a little bit everyday…

…because that is their nature.

It can be different.

It doesn’t always have to be the same.

If he…

…finds in me the things that make me special.

If he likes me because I am me.

If that person…

…takes the time to find what makes me different from the others…

If he likes me because I am me…

...if that happens…

…we may be able to become

something a little different

from before.

This feeling inside of me…

…is very soft.

But sometimes it hurts.

I become full of this feeling when I think of that person.

‘Do you feel that way about everybody?’

No, only when I think of that person.

‘What happens when you’re with that person?’

I get warm…

..like I’m glowing inside.

The glow inside is brightest when that person is near…

…and the pain inside hurts more when he is away.

I am happiest when I think about that person…

…I am saddest when I think about that person.

That person makes all my feelings more intense.

If my heart is this warm…

…if I can be this happy…

If we can all find that special person…

…then the world will be a most joyous place.

Then…
..this city…

…will have no unhappy people.

It’s the special city that has…

…the someone just for me.

Story book is relatively easy;

real love requires effort

my dossier

SIMULA

Ano daw?

Oh, Move on daw. Sometimes we make mistakes and because of that mistake we fall down and suffer. It’s hard to move on but we must and start something new. Leave the past and believe that everything will be fine, diba nakakanose bleed?

the first

Last night, I was thinking about things I really wanted and things that I am interested with. Trying to figure out what will I write in this Blog. And then I felt that maybe I could write about my situation, my angst, frustrations, desperation and things alike.

I decided to share to others my experiences as a young girl trying to conquer the adventures of a quarter life crises and my quest in getting on the college life. And my fantabulous chapter of my High school years.

I don’t know if you like it, but I guess it is not my problem. Well, thanks in advance if you read my blogs and as well as appreciated with grateful gratitude if you leave a commentary on it^_^

thank you^^
